Over the years many couples have trusted me with their stories, both in a nursing and reflexology capacity.
Using this knowledge, Fertility Refresh has developed a number of programmes for clients to help prioritise, optimise and procreate.
These are usually 12 week programmes designed to help test, identify and target areas of issue to help improve reproductive and overall health.
Our preconception programmes have 3 aims:
- To optimise reproductive help for couples prior to trying for a baby
- To help improve male sperm counts and quality following previous conception/miscarriage events
- To deeply investigate and devise a personalised plan for couples who have been through infertility/miscarriage events with the aim of increasing fertility potential naturally or prior to assisted conception.
Our wellness programmes are for general and postnatal care. These are usually shorter programmes with the aim to:
- Provide health peace of mind with blood analysis, BMI checks, blood pressure checks and contraceptive care
- Provide postnatal care with blood analysis, BMI checks, blood pressure checks, sexual health screening, cervical screening, contraceptive care, pelvic health care, c-section scar care and smear testing
- Provide education around pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic care and pessary fitting, if required

Many think that reflexology is just a gentle foot massage...that couldn't be further from the truth.
What is reflexology and how is it different than a light foot massage?
Reflexology is about concise, precise and purposeful movements which can have a profound positive impact on your overall wellbeing.
Reflexology is derived from the theory, that the reflexes on the feet are a reflection of the body.
Reflex, reflection, reflexology.
I fully understand the reservations and skepticism that folk have about reflexology.
But luckily my job isn't to force you to believe in the theory of it.
I do, and that's what is important!
My job is to make sure that you benefit from your treatment.
Studies highlight that reflexology can have a profound, positive impact on the cardiovascular system (think blood flow).
Your body will drift into your parasympathetic nervous system, allowing cortisol and adrenaline to lower, subsequently lowering blood pressure and heart rate.
Basically the parasympathetic nervous system undoes the damage of a stressful situation.
It doesn't take me to tell you that this will have a positive impact on your physical & mental health.
The western world is a busy place to live.
We pride ourselves on productivity, and reserve allowing ourselves the necessity of down time.
So if you are skeptic of Chinese medicine (in the form of reflexology), I urge you to question why its practise has been around for thousands of years.
Why has it stood the test of time, (psst, the answer is because it works).
Treat yourself to improving your health; you only get one body in this lifetime.
If you had the same car forever, you would get it serviced regularly to ensure it was performing optimally.
